Riley - 19 Months

24.1.11

Since I had Cole I haven't been able to keep up with Riley's growth and development. But It is is never too late to start!

Riley's name suits him well. I know I have mentioned it before, but we always do a play on words and have joked about how we now use his name as an adjective. Riley's being Riley......or Riley's getting riled up. Or O'Riley. He is SO expressive. He uses his expressions and vocal cords to communicate very well. Isn't that what kids are supposed to do? Yes. BUT he takes it to a whole new level. He's expressive like his mom ;) jk But we love all of his little quirks. He is constantly making us smile and laugh.

He ranges perfectly on his growth and development charts. He eats pretty much anything. I still like to avoid sugary/fatty foods. He lived on milk and pureed foods till he was one so to keep going with that (not pureed) is the best plan in my books. We eat a lot of chicken/veg. soups. Rice, fish, grilled chicken, and vegetables of all kinds. On occasion he has had pasta. He enjoys dill pickles, oatmeal porridge and cream of wheat. Broccoli and cauliflower are his favorite veg's so far.

Riley and Jacob still share a room and it has been working out great. Hasn't ever been a problem. They both go to bed around 7:30pm and wake up at 6:30am. Couldn't ask for any better! He naps just once a day now and will usually sleep for two hours.

Riley is such a joy to play with and watch. We just love him!
He loves bath time.
Loves playing with his brothers.
I will find out his height/weight at his appointment tomorrow. His LAST needles till he starts school!!! Woohoo! So glad to be done with that. 2 boys down - 1 boy to go (Cole gets his 6 month needles tomorrow as well) then it's just the 18month and one year needles left.

He loves to sing and be sung too. He says amen after we finish praying. Even when I sing to him when he's tucked in bed he'll say amen when I'm done "amin". It's so sweet!
