Every Baby Should Have One

Cole's favorite thing ....other than his soother, is his barbell rattle. This was Jacob's when he was little. One of the few things that was passed down from child to child. We donated almost ALL of Jacob's things (given to family/friends and self-help). At the time, we didn't think we'd have any more kids, and if we ever did it would have been wayyyy down the road. lol I love how God had other plans for us.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Ryan and I still talk about the possibility of having more children in our future. Whether natural, surrogate or adopted we do not know. What I do know, is that we will not be getting rid of any of our baby things. You never know when they may be needed :)

Some benefits to having a barbell rattle compared to others is:
-The shape makes for easy grip
-Vibrant fun colors
-Encourages Dexterity
-Explorative play
-Auditory Development
-Light & Balanced

Cole has been playing with this since younger than 4 months. It has a thin bar to hold onto and is a perfect 'first toy' for a baby. There really wasn't any other rattle/toy small enough for him to get his small fingers around. Lately his new technique has been to bang the rattle against his soother. haha Another fun new noise.
