Baby Names

For weeks now I thought for sure I had our little boys name picked out. We even had a few articles of clothing already personalized and monogrammed with the name!

But lately I have been thinking about it more. I don't know if it is because this may be our last time having a boy, or because I usually liked the names Ryan chose - yes he chose Riley and Jacob haha.

Here is our top 10 baby name list:

I have been thinking maybe I should go for a one or three syllable name as I already have 2 kids with 2 syllable names Ri ley, Ja cob. For instance Nicholas could be shortened to Nick, and Kendall could be shortened to Ken, Robert to Rob. At this point I am pretty neutral.

I would LOVE your thoughts.

You have so many great choices there! I think that what is most important to consider, however, is how the first and last name sound together. My favorite name on that list is Morgan, and I would have loved to have picked that for either of our children (boy or girl), but we have a very Italian sounding last name and it just didn't go well. This is such an exciting time for you! Best wishes for you and your family. :)

Picking names is very tough, and so personal. I like Cole best on your list. What about using Luke instead of Lucas if you want a shorter name? Good luck figuring it out

Great names! My favorite on that list is Nicholas. My hubby and I had such a hard time agreeing on names! But I told him I had the final say, I was the one giving birth!

My vote is for Lucas. I really like that name. Congrats to you both!

I think that with each child you have it gets harder to choose a name! I am a big fan of 2 syllable names but my favorite of your top 8 is Cole, for sure! I love that name!

I think you second guess until you meet your little one... we've decided to share the sex of our little one but not the name, because with Liam it was all about what other people thought of the name... and this time we want to keep it more personal... and give us an out if peanut comes out and looks nothing like his/her name that we had picked...

My faves from your list are: Nicholas, Cole, Lucas, Jordan & of course, Kendall ;) Kendall was our last so I'm partial to that name ;)

My babe's a Jordan, and we call him Joe a lot of the time. (Joe-Bugs is his goofy nickname. Not sure how that happened.) Even Joey sometimes. It's amazing how many people have informed me that "Joe isn't a nickname for Jordan." Um, who asked you?! And I'm sure the heck not going to call him Jordy! :)

Anyway, my Hubby chose the name Jordan and I love it. I couldn't think of any boy names I liked (I named our first son Logan) until Hubby suggested Jordan Thomas and I knew it was the one.
