Water

30.4.09

I don't know why, but lately I have just not been able to enjoy a glass of water. This is odd because I LOVE water. I am usually craving a nice cold glass with ice. Recently I can't even take a sip without feeling like I am going to be sick.

I can't just live off of milk, frutiopia, and apple juice. Any suggestions? I wonder what would be causing this? I am not sick or anything - and I have been fairly active. Plus, with being pregnant it just sounds like the best choice. hmmm what to do

That is so wierd!!! Milk is so good for you, too...but it does have carbs & calories...I used to drink a lot of that carbonated sparkling water- it's caffeine & calorie free, so it would be good for you.

Hmmm...I have no clue! I didn't have this problem with either of my pregnancies...but there's always a first time so if you find a good solution let us know! :)

Have you tried ice chips instead? At the end of my pregnancy with Persephone, all I wanted was ice chips. Actually, ice chips isn't the correct word - I wanted crushed/shaved ice, kind of like what they use in slurpees. The hospital had the PERFECT texture of ice. If I had known that, I might have hung out there before I went into labor. As is, I did really weird things trying to get the perfect texture of ice. I finally found that putting a little bit of water in with a lot of ice and letting it sit for an hour or so would produce an excellent texture (after draining the water of course). My friend would buy shaved ices when she lived in Hawaii. They thought she was weird because she ordered them without flavor. I guess lots of women must crave ice though, given how many of friends did and that the hospital had this awesome ice maker.

not being a lover of water, i add a few drops of fresh lemon to my water also, and it's delish. i got the idea from when i went to a wedding reception once, and they had a slice of lemon in the water, and the flavor was so good. now, lemons are a regular staple on my grocery list.
