Passions?

I have a question…..I know most of you work, and several of you are quite busy throughout the day and I am sure you don’t have time for this but…..do any of you watch soaps? I can say that I don’t really watch any faithfully….since Another World. Did any of you watch that a while back? I loved it, my grandmother watched it, then my mom when she was young then I started watching it at an early age as well. It started at 4:00PM so I was always able to watch it as soon as I got home from school Anyway…..after generations of watching the show they cancelled it then replaced it with Passions!!!! Now, when Passions first came out I watched it……just trying to fill the void of missing Another World…..boy, what a HUGE disappointment!!!!

Have any of you seen Passions? I really don’t watch it now, but from time to time I see it on and wonder if it has stayed the same. It has….my goodness how does a show like that stay on?! I mean the only way it could stay on is if they had viewers and who watches it?!

To all of my blog viewers and any new comers that may come along do you watch Passions? Maybe if we all just stopped watching it they could get rid of it. There are no morals in the show at all, everyone is plotting to make someone's life miserable, everyone lies and keeps secrets, cheats on their spouse and every time they feel the slightest bit of anything they say "I'm going to kill you" I mean, who in real life every says that unless they are loony? This show just promotes negative living and it shouldn't be on TV. Some people blame video games for children's behavior and for promoting violence....well, that is all this show promotes as well.....and bad acting.

Okay, I can’t lie, but I do watch Bold and The Beautiful quite often. I like it, it is fast paced, things aren’t drawn out for months and months and it is only a half an hour. I guess it was also rated one of the top day time shows to watch.

Anyway, I wanted to post about this for a while now, but after seeing a part of Passions yesterday it reminded me of my loathing for the show lol and I had to rant and vent about it on the blog for any who will listen :)

I hate to break it to you, but there are no morals in any soap! lol
As far as Passions is concerned, never watched it, but I have seen it as I was flipping through...pointless and probably the worse of all soaps.
We don't have a tv any more, but I can say for sure, when we get one, I won't be watching any soaps.

lol quite true. There isn't much on TV in general that I would recommend. I enjoy the morning cartoons but that's about it.

This is the first year I started watching American Idol and am enjoying it.....and Smallville I can't miss that but that is also a type of soap...just on one day a week. I love any Superman rendition :)

When Ryan and I were first married we didn't have TV we had high speed so we would download Smallville and any other show we didn't want to miss. We are tempted to that again as it save $ during the month.

Hey. I watch Passions every now and again. But my favorite soap to watch is the Young and the Restless. My Mom watched when I was younger so I started watching it. In some soaps it seems like the same story goes on & on. So I usually don't watch it everyday.

I've never watched Young and the Restless. You're right. You can watch it once a week and still not miss a thing. You can pretty much miss a lot and still stay connected to what's going on. Funny how we all have our shows ;)

I watch American Idol as well, but that's not a soap! haha
I like shows more like that, it's not like they are any faker than a stupid soap right? Just not as much garbage I have to hear!

Yes, reality shows are fun.

I have to admit~there is 1 soap opera that I watch daily (unless I'm running errands, or here lately taking the boys to the dr.!)~Days Of Our Lives. My mom watched it when I was younger & I've been hooked ever since! I've watched Passions one time when it first started & vowed to NEVER, EVER watch it again! It's ridiculously unreal!!!! I don't see how anyone could watch it~~but then, to each his/her own (if anyone does watch it!).

Oh, I meant to add~it works out the days that I do get to watch Days Of Our Lives because that's when Kendall naps :)

:) The more we chat the more I am still baffled that there is someone out there so much alike as me! Lol I have made that same vow never to watch Passions again……

I used to absolutely LOVE Days of Our Lives. I still see enough to keep up to date with what is going on. Thanks for sharing :)

How is Kendall feeling? The new antibiotic helping?
